Most calculators online do two things well:
- Organize the types of losses that may be claimed (economic and non-economic)
- Provide a rough ballpark based on general assumptions
What they typically can’t do:
- Account for comparative fault issues that can arise when multiple parties or conditions contributed to a fatal incident on Lincoln roads
- Reflect the strength of medical causation evidence (how the injury led to death)
- Adjust for insurance policy limits and coverage structure that control what insurers are willing to pay
In other words, a calculator can be a starting point—but it cannot replicate the case evaluation needed to negotiate effectively.
