Most wrongful death calculators online use broad assumptions (age, income, dependents) and then spit out a range. That can be a starting point, but it often breaks down in Nixa cases because insurers and defense counsel usually fight over details such as:
- How the crash or incident happened (speed, lane position, roadway conditions, signage, maintenance)
- What the medical records actually show about the chain from injury to death
- Whether comparative fault applies (for example, if the decedent contributed in some way)
- Insurance coverage limits for the involved parties (vehicle, property, employer)
In other words: a calculator can’t “see” the evidence that will be presented in negotiations.
