Many “settlement calculator” tools assume a generic injury and generic employment history. In real Caledonia cases, details often change the outcome:
- Symptom onset tied to a specific shift or job task (and whether it was documented promptly)
- Work restrictions that affect whether you can safely keep performing your job
- Travel/commute realities—for example, whether you had to drive for work-related duties or whether you reported symptoms while out on the road
- Medical consistency—whether treatment and follow-ups track the same condition described in the workplace reports
A calculator may provide a rough range, but it can’t replace a review of your claim file and medical records. In workers’ comp, the “right number” is often the number supported by the evidence—not the number that looks good on a generic estimate.
