Most online calculators are built for general scenarios. They may estimate wage replacement, medical costs, or impairment-related compensation using simplified assumptions.
In real Washington claims, those assumptions can miss key details, such as:
- When you reported the injury compared to when symptoms started
- Whether your treating provider documented work restrictions tied to measurable findings
- How your claim is categorized (for example, the nature of the injury and whether it’s considered an aggravation of an existing condition)
- Whether the insurer disputes causation (whether the condition is work-related)
Even strong medical records can be undervalued when the insurer argues that the timeline doesn’t line up. That’s why two people with similar diagnoses can see very different outcomes.
