A settlement calculator usually can’t account for the details that matter in Texas workers’ compensation claims, such as:
- How your injury was reported (and how soon)
- Whether your medical records consistently describe the same symptoms you reported at the start
- Whether the insurer questions work-related causation
- What your work status looks like now (restrictions, modified duty, or inability to perform your former tasks)
- Any pre-existing conditions and whether the records treat the work injury as an aggravation or a new problem
Think of calculator results as a rough “conversation starter,” not a prediction. If your documentation is strong and your treating provider ties your condition to the work incident, your case value may be very different than what a generic estimate suggests.
