Most settlement calculators estimate a range by using assumptions about things like:
- medical costs and future care
- lost wages or wage-loss benefits
- whether doctors assign impairment/permanent restrictions
- how long the injury affects work capacity
But calculators usually can’t see your medical records, your employer’s incident documentation, or the specific Texas workers’ compensation timeline that applies to your claim.
In other words: an online number may be directionally helpful, yet it can be misleading if your situation involves contested facts—like whether the injury is work-related, whether symptoms match the job duties, or whether you reported the incident promptly.
