Many online tools promise estimates for a workers comp payout or work injury compensation outcome. The problem is that most calculators can’t see what your insurer will rely on:
- what your medical provider recorded about work restrictions
- whether the injury description matches your job duties
- whether treatment was timely and consistent
- whether impairment and future care were documented after stabilization
In Pennsylvania, workers’ compensation is claim-by-claim. Two people can search the same calculator, enter the same wage, and get very different results—because the evidence supporting causation and disability is different.
Bottom line: use a calculator to ask better questions, not as a prediction of what you’ll receive.
