Most calculators estimate settlement value using general assumptions about:
- wage loss during disability
- medical treatment and future care needs
- impairment ratings or lasting restrictions
- how long someone might be unable to work
The problem is that Pennsylvania claims are heavily evidence-driven. Two people with the “same” injury can end up with very different outcomes depending on:
- how quickly the injury was reported
- whether medical records consistently describe work-related causation
- whether restrictions match what your job actually requires
- whether you returned to work and what accommodations were (or weren’t) offered
So think of a calculator as a planning tool, not a promise.
