Online settlement calculators typically estimate based on broad assumptions like wage loss and medical costs. That’s helpful in theory, but Ohio claims often turn on factors that are harder to model:
- The exact date of injury and when it was reported
- How your restrictions affect your ability to work around town (and whether your employer can accommodate them)
- Whether your treatment plan is consistent and medically supported
- How Ohio’s workers’ compensation process views impairment and disability over time
In other words, a calculator may generate a number, but it rarely explains why your record supports—or does not support—that result.
