Most calculators online use generic assumptions: average wages, typical injury patterns, and broad estimates of impairment or future care.
In real Picayune claims, insurers often focus on details like:
- How quickly the injury was reported after an incident
- Whether your treatment records show the injury was consistent and work-related
- Whether a provider documented restrictions (and whether you followed them)
- Whether your job duties involved repeated strain, lifting, heat/exertion, or safety-sensitive tasks
- Whether there’s evidence of stabilization or ongoing symptoms
So while a calculator might help you understand what “variables” matter, it can’t replace the only thing that truly influences value: the strength of your medical and employment evidence.
