Most calculators try to estimate parts of a claim, such as wage-related benefits, medical costs, and potential amounts tied to impairment or ongoing restrictions. That can be useful as a starting range.
However, a tool can’t see what an adjuster will see in your Michigan claim file, including:
- Whether your injury was reported and documented promptly
- How your work duties align with the mechanism of injury (the “how” matters)
- Whether treating providers connect your condition to work activity
- Whether your employment situation affected earning capacity
In other words: the calculator may generate a number, but your evidence determines what number is credible.
