Many residents in the area work in industries where injuries can be documented inconsistently at first—for example, during busy shifts at manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, warehouses, or construction sites. When treatment starts late, or when symptoms don’t match what an employer expects to see right away, insurers often dispute the extent of disability.
A typical settlement calculator can’t “see” things like:
- whether your incident report matched what happened on the job
- whether your medical provider linked your condition to the work activity in plain, credible terms
- whether your wage information reflects overtime, shift differentials, or different pay periods
- whether your restrictions actually align with how your job is performed in the real world
That’s why two people can enter the same calculator and get wildly different results from the same injury label.
