Settlement tools online typically assume a standard wage history, a typical injury course, and a predictable medical outcome. In real Kentucky claims—especially for workers who commute, work rotating schedules, or have physically demanding roles—those assumptions break down.
A calculator usually can’t see:
- Whether your injury was reported promptly and documented in a way Kentucky adjusters can rely on
- How your job duties match the medical restrictions your provider writes
- Whether your treatment timeline makes sense for the mechanism of injury (for example, whether symptoms followed the incident vs. appearing later)
- Whether there are disputes about causation (is it truly work-related, or an unrelated condition?)
That’s why your “estimate” may be directionally helpful, but it shouldn’t be treated like a forecast.
