Most online tools estimate outcomes using generalized assumptions. They may consider wage replacement, medical care, and the idea of impairment or permanency. However, Indiana claim outcomes are driven by what’s documented in your file, including:
- what happened and when it was reported
- what your treating providers say about work-related causation
- whether restrictions were placed on your ability to work
- what benefits have already been paid
A calculator number can be useful as a rough reference point, but it isn’t a promise. If your records don’t match the tool’s assumptions, the estimate can be misleading.
