Many online tools marketed as a workers’ compensation payout calculator try to estimate a range based on broad inputs (wage history, injury type, and medical treatment). That can give you a starting point.
However, Georgia workers’ comp outcomes often turn on paperwork quality and documentation consistency. Two people can enter the same calculator with similar wages and still end up with very different results because of:
- whether the injury was described clearly and promptly
- whether medical records reflect restrictions consistent with the job you actually do
- whether the insurer disputes causation or the severity of disability
- whether your condition stabilized or changed over time
In other words: a number online may help you plan questions for an attorney, but it usually won’t replace a review of your claim file.
