Most online calculators assume a “typical” claim and then plug in factors like wage loss and medical expenses. The problem is that Florida workers’ compensation outcomes don’t hinge on one formula. Your estimate can swing dramatically based on things a calculator often can’t see, such as:
- Whether the injury was reported and documented promptly
- Whether your medical provider clearly links your condition to the workplace incident (or workplace aggravation)
- Whether your restrictions affect your ability to return to the same job—or any job you can realistically perform
- How long your treatment lasted and whether it’s been consistent
A calculator may be a starting point, but it’s not the substitute for a case review of your records.
