Most online calculators are built for “typical” injuries and “typical” wage situations. But in the real world—especially for Colorado employees—claim value can change based on details like:
- How quickly the injury was reported after the incident (or how clearly the record matches the job event)
- Whether treatment was consistent and documented by providers
- Whether the injury is work-related vs. possibly aggravated by non-work activity
- Your wage structure (hourly vs. shift differentials vs. overtime patterns that may affect benefit calculations)
- What your job actually requires day-to-day, including lifting, climbing, bending, or repetitive tasks
A calculator can be useful for planning questions to ask your attorney—but it shouldn’t be treated like a promise of what you’ll receive.
