Online tools are built from assumptions. They may estimate wage replacement, medical-related costs, or impairment-based components, but they usually can’t see your claim file.
In practice, two cases with the same diagnosis can end up with very different outcomes if:
- your injury was documented as work-related early vs. later,
- your treating records consistently describe work impact,
- an insurer disputes causation or the severity of disability,
- your employment situation changes (for example, modified duty availability or job demands).
Bottom line: use a calculator to understand what variables matter, not to decide what your claim is “worth.”
