A calculator can be useful when it’s used as a question generator—for example, prompting you to gather wage records, treatment notes, and work restrictions.
It’s less helpful when it assumes facts that often differ in real claims, such as:
- The timing of when symptoms were first reported
- Whether your job duties in Shasta Lake required repetitive lifting, climbing, or driving
- Whether doctors documented work restrictions you actually followed
- Whether the injury is clearly tied to work activity versus something else (a competing medical cause)
In other words: an online estimate may suggest a range, but your claim value is determined by evidence and California-specific benefit rules—not by a generic spreadsheet.
