Many online tools are built to estimate broad categories like wage replacement and medical costs. But California workers’ compensation outcomes don’t come from a single formula your injury plugs into.
In practice, two Dinuba workers with similar diagnoses can end up with very different results because of factors like:
- whether the injury was reported promptly and documented clearly
- whether treating providers tie your symptoms to your work duties
- how restrictions affect your ability to keep earning the same wages
- whether the claim reaches “stabilization” (when doctors decide your condition is unlikely to improve much with more treatment)
A calculator can be a starting point for conversation. It should not be treated as a prediction of what your insurer will agree to.
