Most settlement calculators ask for details like your pay history, the type of injury, and whether there are permanent restrictions. That can help you build a rough range.
But calculators usually cannot fully account for key California realities, such as:
- How the injury is tied to your actual job duties (what you did day-to-day, not just the diagnosis)
- Whether your medical treatment and work status notes are consistent over time
- Whether your situation involves temporary disability only or also permanency
- How the insurer handles disputes when they believe symptoms are not work-related
In other words: a calculator may suggest a number, but it won’t show you whether your evidence is strong enough to support that number in a real claim file.
