Instead of trying to force your situation into a generic calculator, focus on the items that most often drive outcomes in California workers’ compensation:
- How quickly the injury was reported to your employer and documented in writing
- Whether your medical provider ties your condition to specific work duties
- Whether you have restrictions (and whether they’re consistent over time)
- Your earnings history and wage basis (including changes in hours, overtime, or duties)
- The timing of medical stabilization—settlement value is rarely meaningful until the condition is evaluated as stable or permanent
