Online tools may prompt you to enter wages, dates, and injury type. That can be helpful as a rough starting point—but it usually can’t model the factors that shape results locally, such as:
- Whether your injury was reported promptly (delays can create problems when the insurer reviews causation)
- What your doctors document about work restrictions and functional limits
- How your job duties compare to your medical findings (common in physically active roles)
- Whether the claim is disputed—even partially
In other words, a calculator may produce a range, but it can’t “see” your medical record, your work history, or the evidence the insurer will focus on.
