Most online tools are built to estimate a range, not a guarantee. They may use assumptions about:
- your wages and benefit calculations
- the injury type and whether it resulted in permanent restrictions
- expected medical treatment duration
- whether you returned to work or were limited from your usual duties
However, calculators generally cannot verify the most important local “truths” that affect Alabama claims, such as whether:
- the injury was reported and documented in time
- your medical provider clearly linked symptoms to the work incident
- your job duties match what you say you can’t do anymore
- the insurer disputes causation (for example, whether the condition is truly work-related)
In other words, a calculator may help you ask better questions—but it shouldn’t be treated like a prediction of what you’ll receive.
