Online calculators typically use broad categories—medical expenses, wage loss, and pain-and-suffering—to generate a range. That can help you organize your situation, especially if you’re still early in treatment.
However, two things often limit accuracy in real truck cases:
- Causation and injury proof: Insurers commonly challenge whether your symptoms match the crash and whether your treatment was necessary and reasonable.
- Comparative fault arguments: Defense attorneys may claim the collision was partly your fault (for example, following too closely, lane position issues, or driving decisions around traffic flow). In Oklahoma, that can affect how damages are reduced.
A calculator won’t tell you how those disputes will play out with the facts of your crash.
