Most calculators ask you to enter numbers like medical costs, time off work, and injury severity. That can be useful if you want a rough planning tool.
However, truck crash settlements are frequently shaped by issues that calculators can’t reliably “math out,” such as:
- disputes over which party caused the crash (driver vs. employer vs. maintenance provider)
- whether your injuries are supported by objective medical findings
- whether your losses are tied directly to the crash (not symptoms that developed later for unrelated reasons)
- policy and coverage limits common in commercial trucking cases
In other words: a calculator may give you a starting range, but your settlement outcome depends on what can be proven.
