A calculator is best used as a planning tool. It can help you estimate the categories of losses that may be claimed—like medical care, wage loss, and property damage—based on the facts you enter.
But in truck crash claims, two things often limit calculator accuracy:
- Liability is rarely simple. Multiple parties may be involved, such as the driver, trucking company, maintenance providers, or others connected to the truck’s operation.
- Causation is contested. Insurers frequently challenge whether your injuries were caused by the crash and whether your treatment was necessary.
In other words, the “math” matters—but your documentation and the credibility of your medical record often matters more.
