Most calculators online use categories like:
- medical expenses (to date and sometimes projected)
- wage loss
- property damage
- pain and suffering
That can be useful as a starting point. But in truck cases, the estimate is only as reliable as the information you can support with records.
In Illinois, insurance companies commonly look for gaps such as:
- whether the medical treatment actually followed the crash
- whether symptoms match what doctors documented
- whether your work and wage losses are proven with pay records or employer documentation
A calculator can’t verify those issues for you—evidence does.
