Most settlement calculators use inputs like injury severity, treatment duration, wage loss, and property damage. That can be useful as a rough planning tool.
But in real Illinois claims, settlement value usually depends on factors that aren’t easily “plug-and-play,” such as:
- whether your treatment records clearly link your injuries to the crash
- how strongly fault is disputed between the driver, the trucking company, and any other parties
- whether your medical prognosis supports ongoing limitations
- available coverage (including commercial policies)
If you’re using a calculator, treat the result as a starting point—then build your case around the evidence that actually drives negotiations.
