A settlement calculator can be useful if you’re trying to estimate a range based on common categories like:
- Medical bills and follow-up care
- Lost wages (including missed work at employers nearby)
- Out-of-pocket expenses (transportation, medications, help at home)
- Estimated future treatment or limitations
But a calculator is only as accurate as the inputs you provide—and it can’t see the evidence that insurers rely on. In truck cases, defenses often focus on whether your injuries were caused by the crash, how well your treatment was documented, and whether liability can be shared among multiple parties (driver, carrier, maintenance vendors, or others involved in loading and repairs).
