A calculator is useful when it helps you estimate categories like:
- medical treatment costs and future care
- lost wages and reduced earning ability
- out-of-pocket expenses (meds, transportation, caregiving)
- non-economic damages (pain, limitations, loss of enjoyment)
But a calculator cannot determine:
- whether your injuries will be shown to be caused by the crash
- whether the trucking company will dispute liability
- how California’s comparative fault rules may reduce recovery
- what policy limits may apply to the parties involved
- whether critical evidence is available (or has already been lost)
In other words, treat the output as a starting point—not a prediction.
