In small-to-mid sized Texas communities, insurers may assume injuries “should have healed by now,” especially when imaging doesn’t show a dramatic abnormality. But concussions and other brain injuries don’t always present as obvious, objective findings.
What matters is whether your records show:
- A consistent symptom timeline (what changed, when, and how it affected function)
- Follow-up care (not just an ER visit)
- Work or activity limitations supported by clinicians
If you reported symptoms early and continued treatment, your claim usually has a stronger foundation. If treatment was delayed, sporadic, or inconsistent, adjusters may argue the injury wasn’t as serious—or wasn’t caused by the accident.
