A calculator can give a rough number using generic assumptions, but TBI claims in real life don’t follow a single formula. In Bonham—and across Texas—adjusters often focus on two things that calculators can’t measure well:
- How well the injury is documented in time (ER visit, follow-up care, imaging if any, and ongoing treatment)
- How clearly the injury affected daily function (work duties, concentration, sleep, driving safety, and household responsibilities)
If the paperwork is thin or the timeline is inconsistent, the “range” from an online tool may be misleadingly low.
