In a city with frequent pedestrian activity and heavy traffic patterns, many head-injury claims begin with something that doesn’t look dramatic on day one—headaches, dizziness, trouble concentrating, sleep disruption, mood changes, or memory gaps after a concussion.
Insurance adjusters may assume these symptoms are temporary or exaggerated unless the record shows:
- when symptoms began
- whether they persisted
- what treatment was recommended and followed
- how functioning at work and home was affected
That’s why a calculator alone can mislead. Two people can have the same diagnosis name (“concussion”), but the settlement value can differ greatly based on the documented functional impact.
