After a concerning diagnosis, it’s tempting to focus only on treatment. That’s understandable. But the best product-injury claims begin with two tracks happening at the same time:
- Get and protect medical documentation. Ask providers to document your diagnosis, pathology/testing results, and treatment plan.
- Start a practical exposure record. Write down every talc-containing product you remember using (brand, approximate years, how often, and where it was used—bathroom, nursery, gym bag/closet, etc.).
In Mississippi, evidence can be harder to reconstruct years later—especially when household products are discarded during moves, renovations, or after caregiving responsibilities shift. Starting early helps prevent gaps.
