Online tools can be useful as a starting point, but they often miss the realities that commonly shape catastrophic injury value in Texas:
- What caused the injury in the first place (and whether fault is disputed)
- How quickly treatment began after the event
- Whether imaging and neurological findings are consistently documented
- Whether complications developed during recovery (which can materially change future care needs)
- How the injury affects work and mobility in your specific situation—like returning to physically demanding jobs or adapting to a new role
A calculator can’t reliably predict those details, and it can’t measure how insurance carriers assess risk when a claim is supported by medical causation evidence.
