Online tools typically use averages and assumptions—things like age, injury category, and how long you were hospitalized. Those estimates can be useful for budgeting and for asking the right questions.
But they rarely capture what matters most in real cases:
- How the injury was documented from the moment of the incident
- Whether treatment notes clearly connect symptoms to the spinal cord injury
- The difference between a temporary setback and a permanent functional loss
- How insurers respond when liability or causation is disputed
In other words, a calculator can suggest a range, but it can’t replace the evidence-based story that determines what insurers will actually negotiate.
