Online tools typically use averages and assumptions (like age, time in treatment, and injury severity). That can be helpful for planning, but it rarely matches how insurers evaluate evidence.
In practice, adjusters in Ohio look closely at things that calculators can’t reliably capture, such as:
- whether the first ER visit and imaging documented neurological symptoms tied to the incident
- how consistently follow-up care continued after the injury
- whether the mechanism of injury (impact, fall, or collision) matches what doctors later found
- whether liability is clear or contested
A calculator can be a starting point. It can’t replace the evidence review needed to determine what your case may realistically be worth.
