Online tools tend to assume predictable recovery and standard documentation. Real cases don’t behave that way—especially when:
- the injury is discovered after initial ER discharge,
- symptoms evolve over weeks,
- multiple providers treat different issues,
- liability is contested (rear-end disputes, crosswalk arguments, maintenance allegations), or
- there are gaps in records that insurers try to exploit.
A calculator may generate a range, but it can’t evaluate the credibility of your medical causation, the strength of fault evidence, or whether future care needs were fully documented.
