Injuries involving the spine frequently stem from situations common around suburban commuting routes: high-speed crashes, unsafe lane changes, distracted driving, and collisions near busy connectors. When the incident is tied to traffic patterns, settlement leverage often depends on how well the records show:
- Where the crash occurred (intersection vs. stretch of roadway, traffic control, lane markings)
- What the other driver’s conduct was (speed, braking, distraction indicators, witness observations)
- How quickly medical care followed (ER timing and early documentation)
- Whether imaging and neurological findings were consistent with the incident
A calculator can’t evaluate those details. Adjusters can—and they often use gaps to reduce payouts. That’s why the “number” matters far less than the story supported by medical records and incident evidence.
