Online tools usually rely on general averages—age, injury category, hospitalization length, and a few income inputs. But in local injury claims, the settlement range can swing dramatically based on factors that calculators don’t “see,” such as:
- How the injury happened in a commuting-heavy area (rear-end collisions on fast-moving corridors, sudden stops, lane changes, or high-impact crashes)
- Whether the accident triggered a new neurological injury or worsened an existing condition
- Whether treatment followed promptly and consistently after the incident
- Whether the documentation matches the severity shown on imaging and neurological exams
In other words: a calculator can be a starting point, but it’s not a substitute for case-specific valuation.
