Online tools typically ask questions like injury severity, hospital stay length, or age, then output a rough range. That’s helpful for budgeting, but it can’t account for factors that matter a lot in NJ cases:
- How quickly you reached emergency care after the incident
- Whether imaging and specialist follow-up were documented consistently
- Whether there were gaps in treatment (which insurers may use to challenge causation)
- How your injury affects your ability to return to work—especially in a community with commuting patterns to nearby employment centers
A settlement calculator can’t evaluate those details. A lawyer can.
