Online tools are built for averages. Savage cases rarely follow averages—especially when the incident happens on routes people use every day (commutes to work, school runs, and errands) or in areas where traffic patterns and road conditions increase severity.
A calculator may assume:
- a predictable recovery timeline,
- medical costs that stabilize quickly,
- and limited long-term assistance.
In real spinal cord injury matters, the picture can be different. Treatment can evolve, mobility needs can expand, and documentation gaps can affect how an adjuster views causation and future damages.
Bottom line: a calculator can be a conversation starter, but it can’t replace evidence-based valuation.
