Most online calculators are built for broad comparisons. They may ask about injury “severity” or treatment duration and then generate a rough range.
In real Flat Rock cases, that range can be off because insurers often evaluate more than the injury label. They look at:
- What caused the injury (and whether the mechanism matches imaging and symptoms)
- How quickly treatment began after the incident
- What changed over time (rehab progress, complications, additional procedures)
- Whether the medical record supports future needs, not just current bills
A calculator can be a starting point, but it can’t replace the evidence work that determines leverage in Michigan claims.
