Most online calculators use broad assumptions (age ranges, generic injury categories, “typical” recovery timelines). But Malden claims often hinge on details that don’t fit neatly into a spreadsheet, such as:
- How the injury occurred in a dense, high-traffic environment (sudden stops, crosswalk timing, limited sightlines)
- Whether the incident was documented promptly (ER triage notes, EMS reports, witness statements)
- Whether follow-up care stayed consistent (rehab attendance, specialty visits, imaging and neurological exams)
- How commuting and work schedules affected income loss for Massachusetts workers
In other words, the “range” a tool gives you may be directionally useful, but the settlement is usually won or lost on proof.
