Most calculators are built for general scenarios. They may ask questions like injury severity, hospitalization time, or lost income, then generate a projected range.
That can help with planning, but it usually won’t capture the factors that drive outcomes in real spinal injury cases, such as:
- How the crash happened (rear-end impacts, intersection collisions, lane changes, or secondary impacts)
- Whether Illinois documentation is complete (ER/trauma records, imaging reports, rehab notes, and follow-up visits)
- Whether liability is disputed—common when there are multiple vehicles, unclear witness accounts, or conflicting reports
- The functional impact over time, not just the initial diagnosis
If you were injured while commuting, returning home after work, or navigating changing traffic patterns, your case may depend heavily on the evidence available from the incident.
