When the injury is catastrophic, blame and medical causation become the battleground. In local cases, insurers may:
- challenge whether the accident mechanism was severe enough to cause the spinal injury,
- argue that symptoms were delayed or explained by another condition,
- emphasize gaps in follow-up treatment (or missed appointments), and
- dispute liability based on traffic-camera footage, witness uncertainty, or roadway design factors.
A calculator can’t test those disputes. It can’t review imaging reports, compare neurological findings over time, or evaluate whether the medical timeline matches the event.
