Many Palestine-area exposure stories don’t start with “I worked in a lab.” They start with real-world patterns, such as:
- Treating weeds before events or seasonal cleanups at homes, rental properties, or small businesses
- Helping with mowing or trimming after herbicides were recently applied (including residue on tools)
- Working in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or agriculture where herbicides are used repeatedly during the growing season
- Secondhand exposure—for example, work clothes brought home after early-morning shifts
- Exposure near roads and utility corridors, where vegetation management may involve herbicide spraying
When symptoms persist and a diagnosis appears, residents often wonder what was “normal” at the time—and whether the timing of exposure aligns with the illness.
