Many motorcycle crashes here involve commuter traffic and frequent merges at busy roadway corridors. Even when fault seems obvious at first, insurers often delay or reduce offers until they can argue that:
- the rider’s injuries were not fully documented early,
- symptoms were delayed or inconsistent with the crash mechanics,
- treatment gaps suggest the severity wasn’t as high as claimed, or
- another factor (speed, traffic conditions, visibility) contributed.
Because of that, an early estimate—whether from a calculator or an adjuster’s “first number”—may not reflect the claim’s final value.
