Most calculators rely on averages. Real claims don’t.
In Stuart, two riders can have the same type of injury but very different outcomes because insurers focus on things like:
- Whether the crash location supports your version of events (lighting, sight lines, roadway markings)
- How quickly you sought treatment and whether early notes match later symptoms
- Whether comparative fault arguments apply (for example, disputes about speed, lane position, or right-of-way)
- Whether there’s evidence of speed or braking—which can matter on busy corridors and during seasonal traffic spikes
That’s why a calculator should be treated like a starting point for questions, not a promise of what you’ll receive.
